Afternoon everybody! Thought I would do an update on my first week on Slimming World in case anybody out there is remotely interested. So I love Slimming World. I've tried so many diets before, including Weight Watchers, Celebrity Slim, Carb free, calorie counting, but slimming world has always been my favourite and it's the only one that's ever worked.
I did slimming world last year before I went to Portugal, and in three weeks I lost a stone. But then when I went to the Algarve and had pizza or steak and chips every night, not to mention the tiramisu and various other desserts and cocktails I scoffed every night, I fell off the wagon and never got back on.
So now I'm here again, weighing more than I've ever weighed before. But you know what? I've ENJOYED this week. Yeah it wasn't nice when my dad cooked a nice buttery garlic bread and I had to just enjoy the smell, but I have found so many alternatives. The thing I love about slimming world is that you have 10-15 syns per day (I personally stick to 10) and you can really stretch those if you're clever about it! I mean today so far I've had melon, a bacon and egg butty (1.5 syns for the flora) and a packet of quavers (4.5 syns) - and still have 4 syns to spend on whatever I want! I'm thinking a weight watchers lemon slice yyyuuum. Another favourite low syn treat of mine is the options hot chocolate witch comes in at 2 syns for any flavour; I've been enjoying the mint one almost every night.
So far I've lost
4 POUNDS! That's just in my first week so a higher loss is expected anyway. I've also been to the gym 4 times (3x Zumba and Aerobics this morning, which nearly killed me by the way) in the past week and I'm really getting into it. I'd never actually been to a group exercise class before but you walk out feeling amazing.
So my goals for next week? Just carry it on really. I do have a few challenges in this next week though. The first will be tomorrow when I go to the cinema, but I'm planning on nipping to asda before hand and buying some mikado - at half a syn each I can nibble on 20 of them if I wanted to! plus some diet pepsi which I can drink to my heart's content. Secondly I'm going to Chester to stay with my friend on Saturday night, and from what I can tell she lives the student life with her takeaways and such. The plan is to suggest going for a pub tea (where I can easily have steak/jacket potato or whatever else is a free food) or just take my own snacks just in case. At the end of the day IT'S MY BODY AND MY HEALTH, I SHALL NOT GIVE IN TO PEER PRESSURE! :)
Are any of you lovely readers currently doing slimming world? Let me know as I'd love to share tips :)
