Now to be honest I don't think the main problem s the actual spots any more, as a lot of it does seem to be scarring. I've considered investing in Estee Lauder advanced night repair to see if that works, but if it doesn't there's a load of money down the drain there! The dark purple still shows through my make up too, and that's when I'm wearing concealer and a heavy coverage foundation. So I'm not quite sure what to do about that. Any suggestions?
Anyway, I'm enjoying how my skin is feeling at the moment, just not looking. It's no longer dry, and doesn't get as oily throughout the day. I put that down to me actually paying more attention to moisturing. Below are my current skin care items. I'm looking at getting a new exfoliator as I'm not a fan of the visibly clear one; I just don't think it's gritty enough. So suggestions on that too would be great!
So basically this isn't just an update on my skin, it's me begging for advice on two things: a new exfoliator that isn't too harsh or too pricey, and someway of getting rid of those nasty scars! Any help?
Hope you're all having a really nice lazy sunday :)

I know that concealer with a green tone in is meant to calm down redness so that could help under your foundation.

I would really recommend the Body Shop's exfoliaters. I don't know exactly what you're looking for from one but the Tea Tree one that I use really helps keep my skin clear and helped shrink my pores. The aloe vera one is really gentle and might be worth checking out too. I'd also strongly recommend the Body Shop's tea tree skin clearing lotion, I use it as a spot cream and it really works wonderfully. Hope that was at least a little helpful :) x

Thanks for both the tips ladies! I'll definitely have a look for both. I don't know why I hadn't considered the body shop earlier! :)
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Effaclar Duo by La Roche Posay? Everyone is raving about it. Also when my skin is playing up I visit Caroline Hirons' blog - it's wonderful and she really knows her stuff so you should see if one of her "cheat sheets" has any handy info in it :) Good luck!

Totally agree Skinetica is magic stuff.x
DeleteHi lovely, I'd hugely recommend using a cleanser with glycolic in it. They're pricey but worth it and will help to diminish scars over time due to their gentle exfoliating properties. Remove with a hot cloth and you'll soon be on your way to the best looking skin you've ever had. I've done a full post here if you want to know more about the glycolic cleansers I mentioned:
